Come mid-October, the world’s best gymnasts will descend
on Rotterdam for the 2010 Artistic Gymnastics World
Championships for Men and Women. Since the Rotterdam
competition serves as a qualifying event for the 2012 London
Olympics, participants will be determined to bring their A
game, which should result in some superb performances.
More than seventy countries are expected to compete in
the Rotterdam Worlds. They will be competing for team titles
as well as individual all-around and event titles. The host
nation, the Netherlands, is expected to put up a strong
challenge, but as always, many countries will be in the
running for medals.
In the months leading up to the World Championships, we
will profile and interview several gymnasts expected to be
